Eclipse Viewing with the Appold Planetarium

Every so often the sun, moon, and Earth align just right to put on a spectacular show! On April 8th, Ohio will experience a one-in-a-lifetime Total Solar Eclipse; an event that won’t occur again in Ohio until 2099.

Join staff from Lourdes University’s Appold Planetarium for a casual eclipse viewing party. Planetarium staff will be available to answer questions, explain what’s going on, and share safety tips. Bring a chair and your own eclipse glasses or pin-hole viewers. This is open to everyone. Please note this is not a Metroparks program, and Metroparks naturalists will not be on site. A playground is available nearby for young viewers.

All Ages
Meet at Wildwood Preserve Metropark Playground.

For Metroparks naturalist-led viewing parties with kids activities check out the Total Eclipse at the Park programs at Glass City and Oak Openings Preserve.
