Total Eclipse of the Park Viewing at Oak Openings

Every so often the sun, moon, and Earth align just right to put on a spectacular show! On April 8th, Ohio will experience a one-in-a-lifetime Total Solar Eclipse; an event that won’t occur again in Ohio until 2099. Join us at Glass City or Oak Openings Preserve for a fun, safe viewing of this historic solar wonder.

Enjoy a casual eclipse viewing session in a stunning natural setting. A naturalist will be on hand to answer questions and offer an eclipse-themed kids activity. Eclipse glasses will be available to borrow. Food and beverages are available for purchase at Heavy Wheelhouse. For more hands-on activities including a Kids Zone, check out the viewing party at Glass City Metropark.

Duration of totality: 38 seconds
