Metroparks Toledo, The Imagination Station, and the Green Ribbon Initiative are teaming up to present an update on natural history and recent research about northwest Ohio’s rich, natural communities.

Great Lakes Winter Waterfowl Distribution (Winous Point Marsh Conservancy), Oak Openings Insect Rarity Survey and Habitat Association Updates (Michigan Natural Features Inventory), and the Blue Creek Limestone Glade State Nature Preserve Rarities (Metroparks Toledo) will be among the many topics presented February 26, 2024 at this year’s Northwest Ohio Natural History and Research Conference. Other presentations will focus on research overviews and conservation projects related to local ecosystems.
The conference will be from 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at The Imagination Station in downtown Toledo. Registration is $30.00 and includes lunch and refreshments.

A Call for Posters is currently in progress and a list of topics will be announced soon. Researchers interested in presenting a poster should contact Karen Menard at [email protected] before February 2. Poster presenters will be offered a discounted registration fee to attend the event.

Lunch sandwich options: Turkey, Roast Beef, Ham, Vegetarian (must register by 7am on 2.20.24 to receive lunch).

Registrations occurring after lunch cutoff date will be $20.
Registration closes 2.25.24 at midnight.
